welcome back to my blog everyone! Hope y’all are having a great day… Today I am here to talk about the relation between language and thinking…. Both of these terms are very different from each other , in fact they belong to a very different categories.. but there is a difference between them-
Language has a very strong effect on a person’s thoughts. the use of language affects both the user and the listener in a very strong way… The way we speak, the use of words, the formation of sentence and even the slightest of these can change the perspective of a person on you… For example take a look at this sentence-
- pass me a glass of water
- Would you please pass me a glass of water?
Now both of these sentences have the same meaning and say or ask for the same thing, a glass of water. But the use of words changes the reaction. The first sentence shows dominance and superiority because there is no question asked, it’s just a direct order. Whereas, in the second one, the reader is given respect and dominance by asking a question first.
In the end, language has it’s own effects o people, some words can trick us to fall into a trap of thoughts whereas others can get us out, that is why it is said to use your words carefully and speak with an idea of what you want to say… With that thought.. I’ll see you soon!
